I can honestly say that I have never been so deeply affected by a book! But, this is not about me, it is about you, the Welches, who exemplify the word family. Many times people say that everything happens for a reason, and, in your case, I, as I am sure you do, struggle with what the reason is for what you all have endured. Perhaps it is to show others that, no matter WHAT happens, the greatest of all gifts is LOVE. Despite the fact that you had your parents for such a short time,it is quite a testament to their teaching and love that you have survived together, and perhaps, more importantly...thrived into successful individuals! Blessings to you all!

Thanks for your message Suzanne--I am so glad you liked the book and hope the tears were, in the end, happy ones. I think this book really made us all realize how much we really LOVED our mom, what an incredible woman she was and how lucky we were to have her, even for such a short time. I am touched that you read our story and felt compelled to reach out. Thank you for that! It means the world to all us Welches! All the very best, liz (on behalf of her siblings)

I was up all night finishing your book, crying loudly down in the kitchen when I read about your mom dying. Diana, your story touched me so much as your relationship with your mom was so similar to my relationship with my little girl. Thank you for sharing your story, it made me realize how lucky we are in those happy moments with our families and was a wake up call to take nothing for granted.
